Low-cost flexible solar film

The Challenge

Demand for renewable energy is soaring but current solar solutions are rigid, heavy and expensive.

Today's solar technologies are costly to purchase and even more expensive to install and deploy. The rigidity and weight of solar panels, for example, limits solar applications to the ground or on load-bearing roofs.

Innovative Flexible solar film

Using microgrooves thinner than a human hair, a 0.1mm flexible solar film has been created at ultra-low cost.

The microgroove architecture of the film eliminates multiple manufacturing steps while using the same widely available solar materials making it fast and easy to produce.

Wide range Global applications

Customizable shapes and sizes combined with ultra-lightweight density allows for limitless possibilities.

The film is lightweight and flexible making it 45% cheaper to install than silicon PV. As a result, solar energy applications can be implemented in ways like never before including non-load-bearing rooftops, building integration, transport vehicles, portable devices - the possibilities are endless.
